Case Study:
Cary Quilting
Challenge
A local retailer sought a partnership with creative thinkers & designers. It was important to the owner to support another local business; being woman-owned was a plus! Owning & operating a quilting store requires continued marketing to current consumers and growing the consumer base for increasing sales & revenue. Being a cutting-edge quilting artist, Julianne Walther sought a creative relationship for collaboration. She is open to original ideas that provide non-conventional marketing & sales opportunities that elevate her brand awareness, create a buzz and capture the essence of her brand.
Creative Collaboration
One-on-one time with Julianne is always productive for brainstorming and exploring concepts. Walther says, “Brand recognition is important in our niche market. As a regionally known quilt shop, people often seek out items with our shop logo on them, and Promotional Partners has provided us with some fun specialty products that our customers love! I love that I can come to their showroom to see new products & learn about product ideas that I would never think up on my own!
They’re also able to help with my unusual requests. I was impressed how they secured a partner that created iridescent quilting rulers with our branding.
Their graphic design team is great with running with my ideas to capture the theme & vibe we are seeking. They are also very open to changes, edits & going back and forth in the design process until the artwork is just perfect! One of the things that I love about working with Promotional Partners is they really understand our business. Because their team members have experience with sewing and are artistic, our vision aligns perfectly."
Impact
Julianne states, "People tell us that they love showing off and using their Cary Quilting Company products. Some of the products are available for retail sales in the store or when we exhibit at events like the stitched sticker cards. We love it when our quilters share unique uses for our products, such as transporting small hand- stitching work or storing small sewing notions. We have plans to use lunchboxes for quilt kits, our patch cards always bring smiles to people’s faces and the new shopper bags for fabric are a hit. Our customers appreciate the unique items we offer."

What keeps Cary Quilting a loyal partner?
I enjoy working with the team at Promotional Partners because they are responsive and ready to help me with whatever crazy idea I want to explore. I know I can count on them for great artwork, high quality products, quick shipping, and they are always so accessible to me. Sometimes business to business relationships are a little difficult because of the hoops that some companies want you to jump through to place orders or speak to the right team. There are no hoops here. I can just send an email, call or come by with an idea and their team is off and running. Their can-do attitudes make working with them fun and easy.
